Last Day of 2009

Well the day is among us here.. This was quite the year as far as world events go as well as life changing events. So go out there and have a awesome year and stick to your goals and hold your head up high.On a side note I found a funny link about tattoos, crazy some of things people put on there bodies but apprently there is cream that can be injected into the skin and your body begins to reject the ink and comes off as a scab. Pretty neat I think....

Halloween

So I haven't posted in while and figured now would be as good as time as any. Being that Halloween is tomorrow , I will discuss the the costumes that girls wear : ) It is the only day of year that girls can dress like complete sluts and no one would think twice about it, the alarm would never go off. So teens/adults can dress this way more so than children which brings me to this. Kids should not wear this stuff..... Seriously would makes this shit. Pedophiles?!?! Since Bats go with the holiday here is a video of a giant bat.

Moving on make sure that you get lots of candy so it can rot your brain and teeth. Or here is an alternative instead of eating your candy.

Today's post will kind of be a two-fer and few days ago a buddy of mine linked a video to his page. So I dug a little bit to find some variations of the video. Enjoy. Cover of "Get on my Horse" or perhaps you would like the sing-along version. Here is the original.

Daft Punk !

So if you have ever listen to electronic music at all , I sure you have heard of Daft Punk. A little insight about the duo, the member are Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter and their French what more needs to be said. Now if you have ever hear this song this is Thomas Bangalter, OK so the guy is talented right? Well every great DJ samples music so here (funny fake ideas) is where they got some of their sampling ideas. Then after their huge success with Stronger, Kayne West ripped the song off and here and here is how he did it. So in the end everyone sample but in my opinion I feel that Daft Punk did a much better job a sampling the orginal song.

Motorz

So check out motors either here or at Motorz.com , it is an automotive enthusiast show hosted by Chris Duke. The installs that they tackle are bolt on's but they did do an excellence job of editing the show. I would recommend check it out or perhaps to kill some time.

Automation

After a discussion with a friend about automation of utility services and speaking to a machine rather than a live human. I will give you an example of what happens when you call a local service provider.

Machine: Hello , in just a few words please describe what you are calling for?
Me: Billing
Machine: I'm sorry I didn't understand that could you please repeat what you are calling for?
Me: Bill-ing
Machine: Did you say SERVICE?
Me: NO !
Machine: I'm sorry did you say SERVICE?
Me: No ! ( followed by a few select words about this service)
Machine: If you need to make a payment please visit our website at www.ShittyUtility.com
Me: Operator
Machine: Did you say service?
Me: (Hang up)

Industrial - Electro Pop

So if you have ever heard of Stromkern (sample 1 , sample 2) you know the genre of music, well a British News reports the band to be a hip-hop act..What is the world coming to, this isn't real this isn't happening. On the subject of Industrial, Skinny Puppy is on tour and I plan to see them once again, the last show I saw was awesome.Come to think about it was at least 4-5 years ago now. With most bands or groups that are in the industrial-goth scene many of they have side projects, So after a little bit of research I find that Icon of Coil has 3 side projects they are: Combichrist , Panzer AG and Zombie girl. Now Combichrist and Panzer AG's vocals come from Andy LaPlegua.

And Zombie girl's is composed of Sebastian Komor and Rennee Cooper ,now it just dawn on me that these bands have side projects for another source of income or perhaps so they can open for them selves. Now if I saw Combichrist open for Icon of Coil or Panzer AG , I would fall over from laughing so hard. I could see the flyer now, Andy LaPlegua plays all night, Oh and he is a DJ's under Scandy so he could play the after party too. I not writing this to disrespect any band members of any band but rather give them a thumbs up for the dedication they have for the scene.

Well I off till next time

Title Change

So I change the title of the blog to " The things that move us !" from "Cars that bump in the night"
as always I find some of the most random shit on the net , Here is a guy I found that dances to industrial music from Southern California. His most recent video titled " Angry Industrial dance in Little Saigon" is funny yet cool. Some of his moves feature the lawnmower with a baby stroller and buy the apple juice while dancing , there are many more but , you'll have to watch to see them all.
I hope you enjoy the show..

Independence Day

I would like to say that we have made it to another celebration of the Independence of the United States of America. 233 Years later we are still united but for how long? Watch this video about amnesty here in United States, it seems like now more then ever , the political figures are trying to remove our freedoms that we have fought so hard for. I hope everyone has a safe and sane 4th of July. Enjoy the fireworks. here too.

HVLV Everywhere

So I was during some surfing last week when I came across a picture of a photo that seemed very similar to one I had from years past. I will let you be the judge. I found the picture below on hvlv.blogspot.com and the one above is from hvlv.org (go figure) two similar looking people both in Vegas.

June 26 2009

Nothing new to report here in Aukamp-land. It appears to be sunny and they are calling( real weather anchor) for thunderstorms go figure. In other news GM(Government Motors) received a ruling by a federal judge , access 33.3 Billion Dollars moving the bankruptcy forward for GM. For their sake I hope that they are able to turn things around to keep the heartbeat of America alive and provide jobs to starving American workers.

I would like to say that Michael Jackson will be missed for his music. 1958-2009

Well it have been a whole year since the last rant, so on with show. Last night I helped a buddy replace his A/C system in his 1995 Buick Le Saber (what a name for a car) they should have grandma a$$ boat that handle like a land yacht. Regardless some of have no choice when we are poor college students. Anyway tacking the A/C system proved to be a 5 1/2 hour job with the breaks we took and some specialty tool that we needed to use, but in the end with only 18oz of R-134a I managed to get the 60 degree air we needed out of the system. ( the owner was happy lets hope it stays this way for a while :)

Part 2 of last night involved a call from another friend that need to diagnose a problem on an unknown automobile well here is what I do know about the situation:

1. The car is located in a Shitty part of town even worse when the sun goes down.

2. The car is leaking fluid that smells like popcorn ( power steering fluid).

3. Car is auto not manual gearbox

So after a few we minutes we were able to diagnose the problem to the power steering pump. and he was on his way.

Well until next time send me your questions and I will try to point you in the right direction.
Cheers,

Chris
